The four students who allegedly put the video on the Internet are facing a $250,000 lawsuit. It claims Raza has suffered "harassment," "ridicule" and "persecution" at school and in the public at large.
Raza ended up leaving high school and finishing his year in the psychiatric wing of a local hospital.
An employee of Raza's old school says the pressure on the young man was intolerable.
"When 500 people laugh at you every noon when you walk into the cafeteria, it can't be easy," says Rafael Jacob.
And in cyberspace it's not easy keeping a low profile once you get linked to Star Wars.
"Star Wars is one of the biggest virtual communities. There are millions of fans. So take this kid, put it together with Star Wars and bingo, it's a hit," says Internet consultant Francois Charron.

The school should sue the kid for using school equipment to film his "skills".

I think the 4 kids should be able to get out of this, because the kid used public equipment and therefore the tape is public property.

I'm guessing he tried to re-inact Star Wars without the movie magic.... A broom stick as a light sabor I suppose?

That is pretty gay. He should hate life if the rest of the students saw it.

Looks like a golf ball retriever he's using, btw.

Man... hasn't this kid already had his 15 minutes?

I really don't understand why the kid is so "traumatized." Obviously, it's an age and maturity thing.

If I videotaped myself doing a light saber thing...or heaven forbid, a "Danceman" type routine and it got all over Teh Intarweb and i got poked fun at, I'd say:

"Yeah, but I'm all over Teh Intarweb! Your Mom is the only one that looks at videos of you!"

Or something else cool and retalitory like that there. 😀

Good lord though, everytime I see that thing I crack up. I would have to agree that such things are just not meant for videotape. Like he didnt know he was being filmed. And as they say, you shouldnt do on film what you wouldnt want the world to see... His mistake in my oppinion. Or he should just laugh it off. And say who cares...

If I were him I'd find some way to make money off this whole ordeal.

Then I'd drop 50 pounds, get a new hair cut, and move to a different state/city.
