i didn't think it was going to be 940, i thought it was some 1031 or something.

I will be a customer for life to the company that comes out with a socket 1337 CPU. Im rooting for you, AMD.

No, I'm sure I read somewhere like theinquirer.net that they had changed their mind about using 1207 pins and switched to 940 instead.
That suxor because it means we may not have a chance to put quad cores in there.
But, someone said Intel and AMD always change their roadmaps so...
you know, this is just guessing but I think it would be to their advantage if we thought they would come out with "less" so we would upgrade now thinking it's pointless to wait longer to upgrade.
Frankly, I have a hard time believing AMD will only come out with an FX-59 and X2 5000+. They also say they're going to have a Sempron single core for the socket M2.
