After more than 40 years, performance legend Carroll Shelby and the Ford Mustang have been powerfully reunited with the introduction of the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 ? the hottest factory Mustang ever. The result of an alliance between Shelby and the Ford Special Vehicle Team (SVT), the GT500 returns to the streets as a thoroughly modern successor to the famous Shelby GT500

Boy o boy. This is my dream car.......

The first one went for around $640,000 at Barret-Jackson IIRC...word on the street are that most dealers have a $10k markup over MSRP...minimum 🙁

I wouldn't mind if FPV replaced it though.
The Boss 290...droool!

Is it me or are those some ugly rims? It should smoke pretty well. Nice looking Stang 😀. But the rims are awful.

my car:
Nissan
Skyline r32
2.6 I6 TT
about 300hp
forget what clutch
nismo parts almost all the way around
1400kg(not sure how much that is in pounds)

Mustang:
Ford
Mustang
4.6lv8 NA
300hp
3000+ lbs as far as MSN autos is concerned im not sure about it but i wouldnt doubt it

Those are the new mustangs the GT premium coupe keep in mind they have a bigger engine but its NA which isnt bad if the new ones have 475 id say they'd be alright but as of now my r32 can beat a new mustang even those pimped out whoever makes there high performance parts

That is quite heavy - they went with a cast-iron block instead of aluminum. And it's also nose heavy. Hopefully, the 475 is under-rated to compensate for it. We shall see when the mags get a hold of them.

That's about 3086 lbs. So I can get a Skyine R32 with Nismo parts for $27k USD?

My GT is about 3,457 ish....and it puts out more like 320 than the quoted 300...but that's beside the point. To each their own.

wow damn and ijust baught a 93 grand am.. sigh. i don't need two car's either since i have no room in the garage. guess im out of luck!

Unimpressed by the 432 pound weight gain over the 2006 model. Take a look at the compare link. I'd never think it would get fatter than a '68 with a big block.
For the money, I'd rather mod my own mustang.
