So Im sitting in history class this moring taking a test and I noticed the teachers moniter blurred and went black. There were a few bags ontop of it but I didnt think anything of it and thought it was just the screen saver.
A few seconds later I hear the kid infront of me casually say "umm..your computer is on fire".
I looked up and Grey somke begins to rise from behind the desk. The teacher runs over, pulls the plugs and moves everything from the area. The smoke continues for 3-5 seconds then stops, but leaves behind a horrible oder and cloud of smoke.
Looking in the bags the teacher discovers his lunch, a container of soup had been drained of broth.

I said afterwards "I guess thats why they say no liquids near a computer, EVER". However, he replied "Its not mine so I dont care, but now im going to be really hunger today. That was good soup too."

Dell, right? It'll be replaced under your school system's kickback agreement - and one of the school board members will get a free Dell DJ.

Yup, as always, its a Dell :disgust:

It got replaced with a 19" moniter, its practically falling off the desk compared to the other one. Looks like its been sitting in storage somewhere for a while. Beige(sp?) color and a ton of dust, looks like its from the mid 90s. I hope they make him keep it and sent the replacement elsewhere
