Whatever happen to the sim online? did ea shut that game down too?

I read somewhere a while ago that there was a virtual mob-presence in the game, with roving bands of thugs shaking people down for protection money. It was pretty hilarious to read about.

That had to be the most awful game ever.

If you could boil and extract the essence of level grinding from an RPG without letting it be tainted by fun you would have the Sims online.

It was ok for a little while... having to shower, bathroom, eat, etc made the game very tedious. Quite a few times i would AFK in somebody's house and come back and i would have peed on their floor!

so why is ea keeping this game running for so long? I wish they would have kept motorcity online up instead of the sims online.
