So I was reading in the issue for Games for Windows about The Sims 3. I read about it and cannot wait for it. Even though it probably won't be out anytime soon I still can't wait. The official website is set to release more information on March 19th. But I found 2 online articles:

Article 1
Article 2

The article in Games For Windows is much lengthier and better. Is anyone else interested in this?? Or am I just being the typical girl who loves The Sims.

I enjoyed The Sims 1 and 2, but never bought a single expansion for either of them. They became tedious after a fairly short time.

I actually stopped playing The Sims 2 after my male sim was abducted and came back pregnant. Haven't touched the DVD since. :p

I am actually interested in this type of game, but gave up on the Sims 2 after a few days because it was such a ridiculous resource hog. You'd think you'd be able to play this type of game on an X1900XT at reasonably high settings. Nope.

even though its one of the best selling series ever? it's just not your cup of tea, as they say.

I played the first one for a little bit. It did get boring after a little while. I mainly like just using cheat codes to get lots of money and then building elaborate houses and stuff. I found that more fun than actually playing the game as it was meant to be played.

I just build a house, put all my Sims in there and take out the doors and windows. :p

(Another idea: do the same as above, but put a refrigerator in the room/house and watch them pee themselves)

Wow I never thought of torturing my sims. I'm going to have to re-install my Sims 2 copy.

The sims was awesome, so much fun! I made a house and my friend made a house next door to it, so i shot some rockets off and saved his house before they landed, his house and family would burn every time the save was loaded lol!

The sims 2 was simply the sims 1 in 3D with waaaay to many customization options for my liking, its been ages but i seem to remember having to choose the color for every item you buy? I just want a TV i dont care what color the thing is. Plus it took me ages to make my own sim. They should have a technology that analyzes pictures, jpeg and bmp's and the like then makes a sim based on that. Far to difficult for EA to impliment but its a good idea. Anyways the sims 2 as mentioned by crafty was also a resource hog and ran like ass, compared to the speedy sims 1 which i went back to.

Pretty much what I did when I played the first Sims. After playing normally for a short while I became quite bored so I ended up using cheat codes and torturing my Sims. :Q

I have gotten bored with 2 atm and actually am very interested in 3 because of the new features they added. As I played the sims 2 I said stuff like "Oh this would be better if I can walk around the neighborhood and people were actually growing up like my characters were etc etc." In the Sims 3 they have that feature now

I think they are neat games, but since I like thinking or action games they get boring very quickly.

Wonder what they'll come up with next. It'll be a while anyway
"The Sims 3, if it's in the works, is likely still years away."
