Simspons used to be cool because Homer had a character, now his smart in one episode and stupid in the other.

The Simpsons got old about 6 years ago... I thought that was common accepted knowledge.

The first time the show really felt noticeably more "stupid" to me was when they went to New York to get their car back after Barney drove it and left it there. The first episode of season nine. Or in other words, six or seven years ago.

Edit: I would like to add, the second episode of that season was the infamous "Armin Tamzarian" episode. Probably the biggest indicator that the show had jumped the shark.

I actually liked the New York episode. Boy that was awhile ago, didn't homer go up both Twin Towers to go to the bathroom?

the 90's seasons were hysterical, then in 1998-1999 time they started to suck! they now look great, but are not funny at all except the occational chuckle, but nothing more

"I'm here at lake placid where the miracle on ice... never happened"

I am an avid simpsons fan, and i think this season is showing some promise (though i feel jipped at the same time)
I think they've popped out a lot crap, but now that Al Jean is back, i have more hope.
