I want to give my current mobo and other stuff to my dad. I don't have any cooler for that (I'll leave the current one at my rig, it was quite expensive). It won't be overclocked and I'll lend a decent thermal paste I'll buy for my new config (yes, Zen 3).

I found that the cheapest coolers start at about couple of euros and I guess it will more than enough, but I just want to confirm there are no hidden traps with the lowest end products.

I don't think that I would go for the absolute cheapest 3rd-party coolers, as they often have really dodgy mounting mechanisms.

Are Intel stock (OEM) coolers not available where you are? There should be a near-perpetual supply. Look for the ones with copper cores, for i5 and up CPUs.

Barring that, look for a DeepCool Gammax 400 cooler, or a CoolerMaster Hyper 212, 212+, or 212 EVO.
