Sitting in the bar consoling some Texas Tech fans, one of them came in and said she'd heard shots fired and there must have been every cop car in Albuquerque right in front of the hotel.
At least they weren't after me, this time.

What began as a routine DWI stop in downtown Albuquerque Friday morning ended with two police officers being treated for bullet wounds and a suspect shot to death.
Officials say the two officers, whose names have not been released, pulled over the suspect near 3rd and Roma at about 1:00 Friday.
According to APD officials, the suspect then fled on foot toward 2nd street. When the officers pursued him, he is reported to have turned and fired on the officers, hitting each one.
The officers returned fire and the suspect was killed.
The officers were transported to University of New Mexico Hospital. One, who underwent surgery, was upgraded from critical to serious condition Friday morning. The other was upgraded from critical to satisfactory condition.
Police were discouraging people from traveling downtown Friday as they processed the scenes for evidence. Roma was closed between 2nd and 3rd streets and 2nd was closed between Marquette and Lomas.
But, anywho....
