Was that a dream sequence at the end? Ronnie's face is healed. And we know they didn't dump all the cash on a table in the parking lot of Vic's motel (what it looks like). They hid it under his floorboards... (?)

Just caught this episode on Tivo.

Something is wrong with the cash. That wasn't just shock and awe. That was disappointment.

Think... The crook who shot the other two crooks threw money at them before shooting them.

I only saw twenties (Jeffersons). Anyone see any other denomination?

Something is telling me this cash is counterfeit.

The shooter pulled money out of the 2 crooks' jackets > they were skimming

Ah. I see. However, that still leaves the question of why was the strike team so disappointed?

They are sad because with that act they really became criminals. Before, they had set up an arrangement with Tio so that the drug distribution would be controlled, and it would not be sold to kids, to minimize gang violence etc. You could argue that every negative act they committed (including killing the cop during the first season) was to protect that arrangement and served to overall benefit the community. Mackey and his crew are only serving themselves with this act and he realizes everything he lost in order to get there (the respect of Danny, Wyms, he lost his wife and kids, etc).

Naw, I don't think that's it. I'm gonna stick with "something is wrong with the money" idea.

I guess we get to find out next season. 🙂
