The Sega Channel

Does anyone remember the Sega Channel? How great it was. Such a good concept.

No I don't. I remember the Nintendo channel though.

Sadly I was a child so I don't remember the load times. Only the awesome fact that every month I would get so many new games to play.

A lot of good ideas are unworkable with current technology and never take off ad a result. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be cool if it worked.

Yeah... XBL would have failed too if it was dial up modem only, a $300 add on, and ONLY supported by 2 games.

Stuff like Sega Channel and Sega CD pioneered the way to where we are now.

You mean like OnLive?

Sega channel was ahead of it's time, but I'm assuming it was more or less the answer to the Nintendo Satillite system in Japan. Maybe Sega thought it had a market here.
