you would need 6 different shot glasses too.. 2 queens, 2 kings, 4 knights, 4 rooks, 4 bishops, and 16 pawn shot glasses =X

Not necessarily, you could do it with a single set of shot glasses and a bunch of distinctively colored liquors. Let's see, you've got clear, gold, light brown, dark brown, opaque brown, yellow, green, blue, pink, red, orange...

wait... so let me get this straight... you actualy drink the shots? I thought they were just a different kind of piece 😛
The game would be a lot more even if you had to take the shot after you captured a piece
