This is bugging me.

I've sent in two requests over the last two months.

I used this site: Asus RMA

I get the "confirmation" email that my request was received and CC'd to rma@asus.com

And....then...nothing!

Is there some trick? My warranty is running out here..and I need a new motherboard!

Have you, oh, I don't know....called them?

99% of the time Humans > computers when it comes to stuff like this....

And from what I understand, ASUS has amazing technical/customer support....so you really shouldn't have any problems

Make sure you can find the mobo on their site, cause I bought an OEM board and they couldn't help me at all with driver issues. I actaully had to find out what manufacturer the board was made for on my own. Turned out to be Compaq.

OK Mr. Sarcasm, I get your point. :) I'll stop ranting.

After reading several posts such as these:
Asus RMA Experience 1

I was getting quite nervous.

I've avoided calling their *toll* number because I've heard just the opposite and didn't want to sit on hold for ever and ever racking up a toll call.

Frustratingly, I guess I will, in fact have to *pay* more money to get this thing returned.

Update: turns out their email RMA system is a short-lived placebo. Doesn't work.

After sitting in the call queue and being bombarded with "message takers", I finally got a customer service rep who took my call. She *says* she'll be sending me an RMA email.......waiting......

Bottom line: Guess you have to call and wait in the queue to get an RMA.

/rant off

i'd like to know too

i did an RMA with asus. board wouldn't boot after their windows flash program said it flashed just fine. sent it in to asus after describing the problem to the girl on the phone. followed their instructions as to procedure. a month later, they send the board back. there is no explanation of what they did. and the board still wouldn't boot.
