So what?

The Department of Homeland security visited me because I'm brown and all my roomates are brown and I had a large piece of machinary inside my room. Apparently our dumb *@&#
college housing prop. manager thought our Fraternity's foam machines were like nuclear.

Is it a liberal arts college? .....leave it to the liberal college staff to not want any nukes on their campus. You wouldn't get that if you went to a hardcore technical school....and don't try to convince me that MIT is one. I know a guy that went to MIT that locked himself in the trunk of his own car.

George Bush was in town giving a talk today, and since we're the local trauam center, it's the SS job to scope out the area and lay down a battle plan for what to do in case the President needs to get rushed to the hospital. I happened to be on call in the OR today, and these four guys in suits came in and discussed with me what would happen in case the President needed to go to surgery(Apparently they do this everywhere he goes).

It was a largely benign visit, but I spent the day thinking how cool it would be to take care of the President if he happened to come in.

I know just how cool it was for you. I was security for a building in Baltimore when the Pope visited in the 90's. The Popemobile drove past our building, and the Secret Service was around for a couple days leading up to it. On the day of the parade I had to take them around to inspect all the windows and stairwells, and then let 2 snipers onto the roof.

I couldn't give 2 sh1ts about the Pope but watching all the security prep was definately fun.

Excellent point. 2 days before the event, the guy in charge of securing our building was introduced to me and the building manager (happened to be my mother-in-law). On the big day, he came back with his team and even then, my boss had me inspect their ID's (as if I could spot a fake 😀).

I wouldn't say "cool" cuz if he came in that means he got shot or something. That isn't cool

Not really, you don't have to be shot to see a doctor.
