The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition

WTF, why doesn't this take up the whole screen? It's not 1080p when there are thick black borders all around the picture. Aside from that I can't say anything bad about this game.

Yeah, the only gripe I have is that there are blocks around the screen all the time. So it's not 1080p. It's like posters advertised at 50x70 for example, but once you open them up you see a small "bracket" around them. Nothing major, but still...

Apart from that, I love the game. It brings back so many memories. Well worth the 800MS pts.

I'm not fond of the art style from what I see in the pictures, Guybrush looks stoned like a douche and his hairdo is pretty weird, overall he looks quite generic, uninspired and heartless. Maybe I just need to see it personally in-game.

Tales of Monkey Island Guybrush is cool and maybe Secret remake Guybrush will look different in motion but screenshots look awful; only reason I'm getting the game is for voice acting 🙂

It looks just like it did in the original... to me the only "updates" to the art are to make it higher resolution so that it won't look bad on bigger TV's. I wouldn't have wanted it to change too much though, it's a classic. I only hope they will remake the sequels as well... Monkey Island 2 was far better than Monkey Island 1 was. It was considerably harder and more funny. I have to say I miss the mouse control... using the xbox analog stick to move the cursor is very awkward to me.

That actually might be a good chance. Apparently MI:SE is the current best seller on Steam. :thumbsup:

FYI, this is now available on the Amazon.com Xbox Live store. Get a code for the game for $10 instead of having to deal with MS points.

Yeah Monkey Island 2 was pretty awesome, I'm hoping for a remake as well, hopefully they reconsider the god-awful art direction they chose for Guybrush in the Secret remake.
