Life is about constantly facing resistance and continuing to tread through the mud, though the sh!t, thought the pain, through the anguish, in the hopes that at for at least one moment, one fraction of time in the span that is existance, one can claim themself champion, claim themself free, claim themself the undisputed ruler and undisputed despot of their house.

Life is about fighting to experience joy, if not just for a moment, in ones life.

Well let's see, you get up the first time when you learn to walk.
That leaves 7 getting ups.
So you fall 7 times, and get up 7 times. Net gain: 1 get up, and it's used at the start of life. Psh. Big deal.

:p

can someone explain the meaning of this quote to me?
Don't you watch martial arts movies? This is a training regimen where the monks push you down, you get up, they push you down again.

It builds strength and flexibility, both of which help keep you alive.

Nah, it's just a $25 book way of saying "if at first you don't succeed, try try again." Aren't you glad he has your money now?

it means if at first you don't succeed, do something else.

that or you're seven times a failure and don't know when to quit.

Just more proof people won't accept a simple, effective opinion unless they pay for it.

Read the book and you'll see there's much more than that to it.
