The sequel to IL-2 from Oleg Maddox. Folks, if you haven't tried simulation in a while, give this a shot when it comes out late this year. IL-2 was made 10 years ago and still has a strong following. It was ground-breaking as far as flight modeling, damage physics, and graphics.

Can't wait to see what Oleg rings to the table on SOW.

Man I have IL2 from a Steam sale a while back and I still have yet to play it. I spent many hours as a kid with Battle of Britain, Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe and the Aces series. I really should get into flight sims again.

Not even that because the nature of a poll like that where you can only pick one option is fine for choosing the winner but terrible for ranking preferences. For example, it's not surprising at all that ME2 is as low as it is because most of the Bioware fans are more interested in SW:ToR.

The game the OP is enthused about took the #2 spot because it wasn't competing against any similar titles. On the other hand, if this has been a ranked preference poll it probably would have finished in the middle (lots of 1st place votes + lots of last place votes). That is a better measure of the level of anticipation behind a game then the method used by the VE3D staff.
