i think the availability of these weapons is absolute madness. military grade weaponry
should not be in the hands of any private citizen. they serve no useful purpose beyond
satisfying the lusts of testosterone-drunk weekend warriors. grenades ? ak-47 ? these
should never have been released to the public and we wouldn't have to fear such a weapons
disparity with criminals. ugh :Q:(:disgust:

Russ is not alone in his views so don't pick on him. Don't ridicule someone because they have different ideas, that's what America was founded on. Hicks are Americans too, get over it. Do you feel that you should have more freedoms than them? The Supreme Court justices aren't even elected, so the people had little say in the ruling. I'm not saying that the Supreme Court justices should be elected, don't get me wrong, but it's not like the issue of their ruling was voted on, so stop acting like it's the will of God or something. Americans have the right to bear arms, period. It does not matter whether or not you see any purpose in it, it is a right garanteed to all Americans. Or should we abolish the Constitution and make you the final word on our nation's laws, sir, to use your own words? If you're going to accuse someone of picking and choosing parts of the Constitution because you don't agree with thay person, then don't do it yourself. If the British regulated guns in the colonies the way America does today there would be no America. Who knows when a revolution may become necessary again? That is the reason for the second ammendment. That is the reason for having real weapons. You don't like that? That's how it is. Learn it. Live it. Love it. Have a nice day.

Dammit.

If all these delusional hard-core (anti- will of the people) gun lovers would simply vote Libertarian.......this country would be better off!

And that's my honest opinion.:)

I am surprised anyone can interpret the words "well regulated" to mean no regulation.

My thoughts EXACTLY lirion.

I'm talking about the normal, average, everyday person. If someone has not commited a crime, why should they be judged on what they are allowed to own, saying "You can't have that because you could kill someone with it".

Hell, take all my guns, because I might shoot someone. Take my car, I might run someone over. Take my knives, I might stab someone. Take my sissors, I might sissorize someone. Take all my food, because I could choke. Give me a Nerf baseball bat and tell me to defend our country against the people who are trying to take it over, and write a law to take their guns.

Oh, and Ferocious.... the Libertarians are the first to take your rights, and the first to bitch when you are getting taken advantage of afterwards. You are associating me with someone who has commited a felony. If I have never done anything wrong, why should I be criminalized? Name one reason? Just one. The point is, the government is saying this...

"You cannot have this, unless you pay us. Then you can have it. If you get it without paying us, you will go to jail."

I can STILL get and legally OWN FULL AUTOMATIC WEAPONS!! STILL!! With all the gun laws! They are stopping NOTHING. Yet, whenever gun laws are brought up, the first thing the uneducated people spit out is two words... assault rifles. What have they done to prevent it? NOTHING! All they are doing is making more money, thats it.

NB: I am for gun ownership.

<< Or should we abolish the Constitution >>

No we should not, but you seem to want to keep the Second Amendment and ignore Article III.
It is the job of the Supreme Court to interpret the laws of this country, including the Constitution.

I am asking a serious question here, so please no flames....

Why do you need such high powered weapons???? Are you stocking up on them in case you need to defend yourself against the govt? Or is there something that you actually can do with them that is legal and not harmful? I just can't imagine someone hunting with an AK-47, or even using it to hit bottles. What possible use can one have for a grenade launcher?

Full auto is nothing but a bullet hose. They suck. They are totally useless, but it is a matter of principal. Right or wrong.

A full auto is nothing but a bullet hose, yes. But with, say, a M-16, the way it is designed it has the grip above the boreline, thus it eliminates almost all upward recoil. I was shooting an SKS with a 30 round magazine yesterday, and that was FUN. I shot the hell out of this milk jug. A full auto I would use for the same perpouse (SO i cant spell, ok?). The Government does not have the right to tell me what guns i can and cannot own. If I want to own a BAR thats my own damn business.

I hate people who like to use bold like this because they think they are making a point, when the bold really just makes them look like a moron

that guarantee is a tricky word to spell
