ive been looking for the best headsets out there. i have a plantronics audio 90 right now hooked up to a little plantronics usb converter and the sound is WAY WAY WAY better through the usb than the regular speaker and mic inputs on my onboard sound and audigy card. so im leaning towards a usb headset, preferably one with surround or 5.1 or higher sound. the sennheisers are awesome and ive actually used the 150s before but they make no mention of surround sound. the headset will be used as the primary speakers for my gaming/multimedia computer so they need to have great sound. here are some links to headsets i have found. if you know of another please post about it and/or tell me which headset you prefer. oh and i know this has been posted about before but i all the searches i did here came up with threads recommending the sennheiser 150 set which isnt even the best one they offer. a headset over a $100 isnt out of the question considering how much i will be using it. a warranty would be nice too.

whatever way you cut it...it really is just an attempt at simulating surround. I would tend to stay away from this as they IMO tend to be catered to those who don't care about quality. I would get a high end pair of stereo headphones and I think you won't be disappointed
