B please! The Bears have just as tough schedule and teams with good records the year before usually have harder schedules the following year.

Looks tough but I wouldn't count them out. It can go either way really. You have to remember how poorly Hasselbeck and Alexander performed last year, relatively, and the injuries they had to deal with. If there is a return to 2005 Hasselbeck/Alexander then they can beat any team on that schedule, if last year was the new Hasselbeck/Alexander then yes we're probably screwed.

count on Alexander to bounce back this year. You guys can tear it up. But you'll still lose to the 49ers somehow :p

True. On the bright side, Pittsburgh has a new coach so who knows how good they'll be. We don't play Philly until December so McNabb will likely be on IR. Chicago is a mess right now. We usually beat Atlanta anyway...

The more I look at it the easier it is to delude myself. :D

We need Alexander And Hasselbeck in 2005 form and we need our receivers to quit it with all the drops.

If they do that they'll be back in the playoffs np.

as long as hasselbeck is your QB, the playoffs is the limit to the seahawks' season.
49ers take division this year.

I'm trying to stay positive.. also, many of those teams aren't guaranteed to be great. You mentioned Pittsburgh and Philly but just because some of those teams did good last year doesn't mean they won't collapse this year.

I admit I would rather have had a schedule like this:

1 Sun, Sep 9 Houston
2 Sun, Sep 16 at Arizona
3 Sun, Sep 23 Houston
4 Sun, Sep 30 at San Francisco
5 Sun, Oct 7 at Houston
6 Sun, Oct 14 Houston
7 Sun, Oct 21 St. Louis
9 Sun, Nov 4 at Houston
10 Mon, Nov 12 San Francisco
11 Sun, Nov 18 Houston
12 Sun, Nov 25 at St. Louis
13 Sun, Dec 2 at Houston
14 Sun, Dec 9 Houston
15 Sun, Dec 16 at Houston
16 Sun, Dec 23 Houston
17 Sun, Dec 30 at Houston

I guess being a fan of AFC teams skews my vision, but that looks like a cakewalk schedule.

Go Colts!

Well, the Seahawks were fortunate to have been in a division that has the perennial joke of the league in Arizona, SF which has gone through rebuilding twice in the past six years, and STL which has floundered since Faulk left and took their identity with him.

Ironically, it's actually a Seattle staffer who's been instrumental in turning SF around.

Scot McCloughan

In Seattle, McCloughan?s efforts came to fruition when the Seahawks won the NFC Championship in 2005 and made a trip to Super Bowl XL in Detroit to play the Pittsburgh Steelers. On that roster, 25 of the 28 draft picks on McCloughan?s draft scroll were still on the team when he left his post to join the 49ers last year.

?I think Scot is one of the bright young talents in this League. I fought like crazy to keep him here,? Seattle Head Coach Mike Holmgren said.

?Ten of the 11 draft picks from 2005 remained on the team and the one we did cut and wanted to put on the practice squad was claimed,? McCloughan recapped. ?Two, three years into this, I think it?s going to be a heck of a draft.?

The 2005 Draft Class has already proven him right.

All 10 players, and one undrafted college free agent, saw action during their rookie campaign. Six became starters, including G David Baas and G/T Adam Snyder, who helped bring cohesion and strength to the offensive line by the season?s end. RB Frank Gore led the 49ers rushing efforts and first round selection, QB Alex Smith, took over the starting reins in the second half of the season, leading San Francisco to consecutive wins to close out the 2005 slate.

Maybe we could get Oakland and SF to switch divisions? Then the schedule would look something like that. :D

Could you have anymore East Coast teams as home games?

Are you serious?

AT Pittsburgh
AT Philly
AT Carolina
AT Atlanta

Tampa and Baltimore come to town. So two east coast teams at home... 4 away. Yeah... Huge advantage there.
