Champ the Lake Champlain Sea Monster

For some reason tonight, i thought about my sighting of Champ, the sea monster.

I was probaly 10 years old when I saw him. During the summer, we took our boat out on lake champlain with a total of 9 passengers. We hit something in the lake, and just assumed it was a log. We all looked over the side of the boat and saw the that log was moving! It was several feet wide, and almost 20 feet long from what we could see. We reported the siteing to a guy who was doing a study on champ at the time. There has been THOUSANDS of sightings and i definlty believe that there is SOMETHING living in our lake. Any comments?

I saw that picture once.

It was on a site saying this was the "Loch Nest Monster."

You mean this thing travels from lake to lake, and gets caught in the same pose by the same POS camera?!? :Q

My buddy who went to UVM never saw anything there. But then again, he probably never went to the lake as much as you did.

I did read some stuff on Champ and how the Indians used to bring sacrifices to it to appease him.

I don't think an animal that lives in almost complete seclusion and gets hit by boats should be considered a monster, lake or sea.

The Discovery channel special I saw said the Loch is far to large to search effectively (it expands out into the ocean or something), and the visibility in the water is so horrible divers can barely see their hands in front of there face without something as bright as a searchlight on a police car.

i am sure he will turn up on the sonar. i mean, what are the chances to have a big creature living there for hundreds of years and not being able to find its remains.

Well if he's not real I'd say those chances are quite low.
