The scent of Fall/Autumn

I was walking to the library and caught that autumn scent. I know it's already mid-October, but it's the first time that I smelled it this year. It's that scent of trees, cool air, and damp leaves. Call me a sentimental slob, but it suddenly brought back memories of Halloween, apple-picking, hay rides, warm sweaters on cool nights when i was a kid......

Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Not around here. It's been unseasonally warm this month....

If you're talking about Southern California, then give it up, cuz you'll never see anything around here except for summer and summer nights. It'll be freaking 85 deezgreez in dead December.

:( I know exactly what you're talking about, and I miss it. This time of year is what I live for, but unfortunately I live in AZ where it's perpetually summer. I walked outside around sunset last night, and it was still hot out! People were swimming in the complex pool. We're still in the mid-90's. No autumn scent, no cool air, no leaves changing. Just heat, air conditioning, and short-sleeved shirts. My flannels and jackets are screaming to come out of the closet (no joke intended). I'm here because of my job, but I think we'll be moving soon, as I've said in numerous posts.

No, I'm talking about Utah.

We're finally getting to where we're supposed to be. Mid-50's during the day...not 80+.

I love it when I have my window open and I'm sitting at my desk that's right next to it... on LAUNDRY DAY!

My window is right above the dryer vent, so I get the smell of downy pouring in here with the beatiful weather :)
