I'm back baby! Missed this place :)

My kids came back with their loot bags on Sat. night and wow are people cheap these days. They actually cut the "Fun Size" bars in half now (how can that be fun??? It should be "Greatly Disappointed Size"). Also, what's with all this "gummy" crap? You get 1 piece of flavored rubber---who the hell wants that?

We passed out full size candy bars, Big League Chew, and Famous Amos cookies. We spent $25 on this stuff---it's not too expensive people! If I got that crap I saw in my kid's bags when I was their age, you can be sure there'd be some TP on someone's house.

We passed out Mike-n-Ike's and Hot Tamale's. Ran out, then a friend came over with more candy and we passed out skittles and 100 grands.

I couldn't have afforded to pass out full size candy bars with the number of kids we saw this year. We completely ran out.

We ended up with way too much as well, but I was smart and only unloaded half the bags so we're returning the rest. :p

We didn't have anyone show up which is a record for us. Halloween this year was quite disappointing.

I had waaaay to much candy. We only had about 10 kids show up. The last ones got two big handfuls of candy. (gotta keep my girlish figure somehow)

I was a bit disappointed. I just moved into my new house, so it was going to be the first Halloween for me to pass out candy. Maybe 40-45 kids showed up. I had to give them handfuls to get rid of it so I wouldn't get stuck with all of that candy.

people don't even show up....

I remember last year my mom wasn't going to be home nor was I so she left a bowl outside. Of course I made sure I sat there and ate 3-4 bars before I left for the weekend. All gone.

This year only 13 people came to our house. WTF. FAIL.

Funny thing is I have tons of left over candy.

It was raining on and off where I live and as a result the turn out was a lot less than expected.

Not sure what to do with all this candy.

Guess I'll keep bringing it to work a little at a time until it's all gone.

Kids growing up.

When I was growing up, my neighborhood was full of kids and everyone went out trick or treating. My parents get 25-50% as many kids these days because we've all grown up and not many new people have moved into the area so no new kids.

Where I live now there aren't many trick or treaters either. It's as near to the city as your get without being in the city which is populated mostly by young adults so not many people with kids. I saw a few groups wandering by but not more than 20-25 total.

In my area, i think it has to do a lot with churches. They get the parents to bring the kids out there instead of taking them around. :( Its sad really.

Only had about 10 kids. For some reason there were 3 lady bugs in the bunch. Go figure.
