First or not, both bands were well above average musicians. And as much as I love The Beatles, The Stones are the better band when talking music technicality.

The guitar pieces being played by Richards on Exile On Main Street was truly revolutionary, and has directly influenced rock styling more than any other style throughout time.

Just because you think they 'suck' doesn't make it so.

I think one of the great missions of the Stones, and a worthy goal, at this point, is to be the oldest of the old school bands. Rock on dudes. Jagger is my dad's age, and I'm not that young. 😉

If you don't like em, don't go to their concerts, but I'm betting they will continue to sell lots of tickets for years to come.

Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile on Main Street are all incredible albums all the way through. The rest of their albums are inconsistent, but having three incredible albums is an accomplishment many bands can't even dream to aspire to achieve.
