The Rock as the Doom marine?

Sweet!!!! The Rock as the DOOM Marine! What do you think? I've only seen one movie with him in it (Scorpian King) and I guess he'd be good enough for the part. All he's have to do is look tough and lay teh smack down on some demons.

As much as I hate him I think he would bring the kind of tough guy humour and make a doom movie actually kinda work.....

I'm a huge Bruce Campbell fan, but I think that may be a bit too much humor for the role... lol The Rock and him are both great picks IMHO

I don't think he can act but he seems pretty personable and I wouldn't mind him as the next action star given that Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arny, etc. are getting a bit on in years.

I'd take Vin over the Rock, and I think Viggo has too much of a gentlemanly demeanor about him for the role.

Agreed. I thought he actually did a pretty good job in The Rundown. Good pick imo.

I was going to say the same thing. He has a charming, self-deprecating quality that makes him likeable while he's kicking ass. He's funny without being goonish. Vin Diesel, on the other hand, seems completely brainless and witless, and the sooner he fades from the scene, the better as far as I'm concerned.

sounds like a decent fit. He is very charismatic and a decent actor. Plus he looks like a total badass which will fit in good in an action movie about hell.

The only problem is that I always pictured the doom guy as somewhat little, like a strong average sized man.
