Profits for the area's largest health insurer nearly doubled last year while it was imposing double-digit rate increases on members for the fifth consecutive year.

The report also showed Excellus paid four executives more than $1million last year. At the top of the list is Howard Berman, vice chairman, who took home $1.6 million last year. The company also paid $1.27 million to David Klein, president and CEO; $1.17 million to Emil Duda, executive vice president; and $1.08million to Arthur Goshin, adviser to the CEO.

Another 58 Excellus employees made more than $200,000.

Cable rates rise by 13% annually or 1300% inflation.
Healthcare rises by double digits.
Higher education/college tuition rises by 9% (or 30% in cali).

Gasoline prices are at a 13yr high.

Makes you wonder why inflation is so low.

dont use them if you dont like their policies. its as simple as that. no one put a gun to your head to carry insurance with them. if they loose all their customers because of price i guarentee that they will lower prices.
