Actually, their donuts suck. Nasty, greasy, sugar bombs made on a mechanized assembly line. KK used to work on the west coast because there were a novelty. Then their overexpansion killed that novelty.

No they're good.

The only donut of theirs I like is the jelly-filled kind. The sugar glaze on the regular donuts kills me (not in a good way).

whenever i walk into a krispy kreme with my friends...i look at the assembly line for the donuts and all that fat and what looks like lard...and i just lose all appetite for donuts 🙁

I normally prefer a more solid donut, but every so often it's nice to get a fresh glazed donut hot off the assembly line.

Their donuts really go to crap after 10 minutes or so. They're only good fresh.

They're still pretty good if you pop em in the microwave for a couple seconds 😛

Way over-rated. The regular grocery stores in my area have just as good (if not better) donuts, and for a lower price.

Yeah, it died here in Tucson (AZ) as well. The guy who owned all of the west coast stores went bankrupt. How the hell do you go bankrupt in this kind of situation?

1) Donuts cost nothing to make
2) You only need to pay minimum wage to the pimply-faced teenagers running the store
3) Krispy Kreme has been a huge fad for quite some time even though their donuts are no better than Dunkin Donuts

That seriously took either a dire medical emergency or severe incompetence.

i think it was because of overexpansion. too many stores, too quickly

That and their wholesale sales to grocery stores.

yup, why goto the store when it's more convienvent to pick it up at the supermarket when i go on my weekly shopping.

Ever think why Dunkin dounuts is still chugging along?

I thought it was the whole atkins craze that started it.
Correct, Atkins and similar diets made people deathly scared of carbs.
