Don't know how many of you all have this right. Day by day as legistature is passed we can't do things we would have taken for granted (DCMA is the perfect example of governments gone bad).

How many of you can honestly say that you are "free"? That you can read whatever you like without worrying about the consequences?

yeah, dcma's a pretty annoying law. thank goodness for the underground.

For those of you who may not know what the DCMA is it goes something like this:

&quot;We the makers of <software, music, movies, etc.> will decide how you get to view/use our product.

We will charge whatever we like for it and if you don't like that we will sue you. Failing that we will jail you.

If you attempt to modify the way we want you to view it, we will sue you.

If you use it in a way we did not think of, or do not like, we will sue you.

We may change all of these rules at any time we wish without telling you.
