The Right Stuff [the movie]

Just ordered it on DVD from PlayCentric.com. It's a damn long movie, but it's also damn good one as well. I love the part where John Glen (Ed Harris) tells his wife not to let Johnson in their house. And then Johnson is going crazy in the limo!!

One of my all-time faves! I bought it at Wal-Mart for $9.00 a few months ago.

I'd have to say my favorite scene is the one right after Yeager breaks the sound barrier and climbs like a "bat out of hell."

I have seen The Stuff. It was pretty good for a b movie.


Until I got The Right Stuff on DVD I had never seen it all the way through in one sitting.

You might also want to read the book by Tom Wolfe...it's a great read.

My favorite part from the book (not sure if this was in the movie, though it probably was) was when Deke Slayton (I believe) is in the factory, and all he can think to say is "Do good work." It becomes a slogan and they hang a banner with it in the factory.

I got the DVD yesterday and started watching it As many times as I've seen this movie, I had NEVER seen it from the beginning. Now after seeing it all the way through, I'm even more impressed with it
