Hi guys, im new to this forum, but wanted to ask for your help as im a newbie to video and sound capture.

I need to record a Uni lecture (maybe over an hour) where the lecturer will be moving around some. So im looking into buying some good Lavalier equipment to get the job done to a high standard. We'll be recording the video into a couple of high end consumer cameras, not sure which model yet though.

Im quite proficient in sound enhancing and cleaning but i'd like to capture the sound as good as possible first time around.

What mic set up would you recommend? I'm happy spending around £300 but if money was no object or the budget gets tighter what would get the job done without drops in signal/crackle/hum etc.

Was thinking about using the lav connected to a recorder in the talents pocket, is that more reliable than a wireless Lav solution?

Also, i have access to alot of vocal mics from music recording, so was thinking of having a few directional or a omni mic set up on a pulpit (if theres one available, not sure yet) just to back up when he's still.

I know its a pretty vague spec im giving you, but any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Tom
