The right kind of Ram

I've decided to build a new PC and have all the parts I want except for the right kind of Ram I would need for OCing a DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D with a 3200+ winchester processor to 2.6ghz.

I'm looking for a gig of compatible ram from either Crucial, Kingston, or Corsair.

Also, the x800xl would work with this mobo right?

yaha.
crucial ballistix is good for amd... ocz el platinum rev. 2 is good as well, but good luck finding it, I think they stopped making it. any RAM will do though, even value RAM, just run a divider.

Yes the XL would work but it is kind of pointless as it is no where near MSRP and you would be using a non SLI card in an SLI capable motherboard.
6800Gt would be much better as it is about the same price as the X800XL (as the X800XL isn't at MSRP yet) and supports SLI, and is faster.

Although that board doesn't officially support SLI it still has 2x PCI-E x16.

Also do not get me wrong the X800XL is an incredible piece of equipment, especially if found for the $299 price point, however, it isn't yet; it is found very close to the GT's price point so it is therefore outclassed.

get the overclocking ram on your motherboard's guaranteed compatibility list. it's usually either crucial or kingston for amd
