The Return of Weekly Stats?

As I'm sure most remember, we used to have weekly stats delivered by our very own Spacehead. Since last year, I've missed seeing the stats, especially the intense competitions for top spots within key projects.

What I'm wondering, if Spacehead no longer has time to record the latest records, is there a script or process for tracking the stats? Would there be interest in the return of the stats? I'd certainly could offer to do this (unless someone also wants to split this task).

Thoughts?
 
I've been meaning to make a post about this but it seems to keep slipping my mind.
If some one wants to take over the stats that's be fine with me. Bok(from FreeDC) set me up with some pages that i just copied the text from. I asked for something easy as i was on dial-up at the time.

I still have everything if some one wants them. I have the layout formatted in a WordPad document & just did a little bit of work in a spreadsheet program.

Post here or PM me & i'll give whoever more details.

The darkside got me I've been playing Bioshock infinite on the cruncher. I think I'm on the last level but I can't beat it. I might have shot the second to the last guy and thought I had finished him off and went on to kill the next guy then died, I guess from the second to the last guy, then there was the last guy with rpg's... unless there was another wave to defend against.
 
If you guys want me to do weekly F@H stats, I think I could whip up a script. As long as there's a central data file for a BOINC project (like F@H's files), I think I could whip up some for BOINC projects too. Let me know.

Not this week (I'm moving) but in the future I should have more time now that I've settled down with a normal job and I'm not in school anymore. I used to do F@H stats for a few weeks.

Yeah I had the same idea...if there is an XML output of the stats page, I'd probably could re-write one of my scripts to parse the text and hopefully generate a pretty graph for all to see...hopefully 🙂

For most BOINC-projects the stats-dumps is located at http://project-url/stats/ and is gzipped so must be expanded. Two examples for location are http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/stats/ and http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/stats/

World Community Grid also has stats-dumps, but as most things WCG is not using the normal location and I'm not sure on where they're located...
 
I also have a stats script that I think is still collecting data on who is getting badges in PrimeGrid and World Community Grid. I should see about posting them in the weekly stats or something.
 
I was waiting for somethingsketchy to start the stats before I figured out badge posting.
 
This could be something I'd do after I retire.

By my choice this could be 2-3 years but my employer might think otherwise! :biggrin:
 
Nah, life happened. In the past year, I was promoted into a role that required to be on-call 24/7.

This was something I wanted to do, but sadly never got around to it (now if only I could learn some solid programming skills...:hmm🙂
 
24/7? Ouch! but presumably not 52 weeks a year? 😉

What do you need programming for? When I did the SETI or DPAD stats I never used programming, then again they were for just 1 project....

Yes! Spacehead (unlike me) was very prompt and actually got me the information right away. I'll shoot you a PM of what he had sent to me.
 
There's hope yet! 🙂

Hmm, I'm tempted to do some weekly stats for MW &/or A@H until/if the full weekly stats return......
