well here is a very small clue, now that i think about it, this might be just a win2k &quot;feature&quot; but since i do not have win98 on any of my systems i can not check.


however, i have not added anything special, what you see is a default setting on all windows and desktop.

The parts on the left of both of the windows for My Network Places are different, because of the view that each window has..
Am I right? huh huh?

Actually, you can remove the IE icon if you want. It is somewhere in one of the policy consoles -- same place where you turn off autoplay of CD and arrangement of window buttons I think. You can also hide the network neighborhood or whatever they call it in 2k (I do this since I do not use windows network sharing and find the extra icon annoying).
