I've said it before and I'll say it again, trump supporters are part of a cult. Its the only explanation that makes any sense for their behavior.

Tell me how I'm wrong.
You are 100% correct, the laughable response from many Fox anchors (gee, was Trump supposed to jump over and attack Putin!, he's just trying to be friendly!) is as pathetic as any Trump supporter. Then Trump himself calling the media "the enemy of the people", oh, is that because they put an unfair spin on your abortion of a "summit"?. All we can do is vote in droves and drive these F-tards back into the caves where they belong.

So the "logic" these folks are using is that if you criticize Trump you're also insulting them and criticizing their awesome deductive reasoning skills that figured out that Trump is by far the most intelligent, the most qualified and the most honest trustworthy and caring president who truly wants to MAGA.

Now how can anyone argue against such solid, logical and carefully considered unbiased reasoning skills like that? /s

These folks appear to be even more gifted with the genius genes that their genius Trump told them he is so full of. lol

It's like trying to convince them that their Nigerian e-girlfriend may not be coming to America no matter how many more gifts they send to them, and they should at least entertain the idea that they are just in it for the money.

I don't want to excuse the problem, but thankfully it's not all Republican supporters who've given in. Cavuto is representative of a broader trend that we've seen in the media and the general public (including in this forum): basically, Trump's balloon has popped for some American conservatives. They saw Trump kissing Putin's ass and realized that concerns about Trump's entanglements with Russia (or just overall softness) weren't just a fantasy. Hell, we saw Trump drop to 44 percent approval in Rasmussen's polling, and that's a conservative-leaning poll.

The issue, of course, is that many Trump supporters are still incredibly irrational; they can stare evidence in the face and still cling to the lie. And of course, many of them won't even look at actual footage and will instead wait for Fox News (particularly Hannity et. al.) to tell them how to think. I look at this as Trump's cult of personality starting to crumble in earnest, but not a decisive blow that ultimately leads to his downfall.
