Because he was American. That is my best guess. I didn't recognize the uniform though.

The reality of the matter is while there are real jerks out there in Iraq showing this kind of BS sensationalizes it. By the CIA's own reports there are an estimated 16,000 insurgents in Iraq (from last year's figure), and a total population of 26 million people in Iraq. That works out to .06% of the population.
 
If it's the video I think it is ... insurgents shot it down. The only survivor was the pilot and they came up and killed him. I am not sure if he was American. He might have been European Ally. I saw the clip in a documentary called Private Soldiers.
