This is one of my favorite things about election years; comparing what the candidates said then vs. now.
McCain tried to erase a career of speaking and voting against market regulation last week. Unfortunately for him, the public record never forgets. His positions consistently reflect the most convenient truth for the crowd before him.
Big businesses: we need less government regulations. Small businesses: we need more government protections. I don't know if we're in a recession. We're in an economic crisis. The fundamentals of our economy are strong. I am not an expert on Wall Street. Etc. Etc.
No wonder the American people don't trust him on the economy.
