Something happened tonight that sent shivers down my spine. Something that I thought we had overcome and put behind us. I witnessed the real boogeyman, the real boogeyman that I believed we had won against, that I had won against, and was gone forever. So what happened? I watched this...
While it is believed that Donald Trump is gone, is no longer in your bedroom closet or no longer hiding under your bed, there will be times when you are just not sure and find yourself peeking in the closet and looking under the bed. Like some remake of the movie HALLOWEEN, you thought Jason was dead but then he is gone. Just like with Jamie Lee Curtis, he’s gone but you know he’ll be back.
When Donald Trump’s face came across the screen I felt the hairs on my neck stand up, a shock that Donald Trump was not simply some horrible deep sleep nightmare, but the horror of Donald Trump was indeed real. If Donald Trump evades conviction in the senate and is allowed the opportunity to run again, one day, some day in the near future, everyone will again be peeking in the closet and looking under the bed. And it’s just not us to be in fear, it will be those who follow Trump and then were arrested and jailed and paid a heavy price for their part in the Trump inspired insurrection who should also be afraid because they will never know when Donald Trump might rise again to order his people to break the laws and terrorize Americans in the name of Donald Trump. The boogeyman is real and we all should be very afraid.
