Not at my workplace. We have a Cake Logistics Team - nay, a Cake Logistics Strike Force - to take care of these matters.

yes, especially ice cream cake

one trick is to pull the fire alarm just as they start to serve the cake, then you get all you want

My problem is that when my wife makes cakes, the ratio of cake to people to people is to big.

We always have leftover cake as well.
OP your Cake Acquisition Corps is being cheap.

Strike now, for great justice.

Important safety tip: make sure the fire alarm isn't tied directly to the sprinkler system. Otherwise the cake gets really soggy.

The solutions are:

1. increase teh cake
2. decrease teh people

You can also combine the two options which would be my preferred method.

Oh my God, I just realized something.....this is too funny. I met Stephen Root (Milton from Office Space) the other day when we broke for lunch. We walked up from the set together. They were having birthday cake in the cafeteria (we were filming at a middle school) and when we walked by the Teacher Aid there was serving cake and asked if we wanted a peice. we both declined!

Jesus, I should have said something then.

Cupcakes FTW.

You can get an accurate count, plus each one has optimal cake to icing distribution. Also, the caker can provide more flavor combinations to the cakees. I'll take chocolate cake with white icing, please.

Now.
