Next time a hurricane rips through some part of the country it will be "Thanks Trump" .. taking version 2.0 of the "thanks" meme into a bitter-dark edition.
So if we'd stayed in the agreement we'd experience no more hurricanes? Shit, this may not be good. I wonder how long before my new house is underwater? I know that I've managed to outlive at least four gloom and doom scenarios where I was going to either freeze, starve, drown or die of thirst within ten years from the date of proclamation. But this time, because we're not going to redistribute our wealth to the detriment of our nation it could be real.

Scary shit.

What makes this decision reach truly legendary levels of stupidity is that compliance with the Paris agreement was voluntary anyway. If he thought some aspect with our compliance was bad he could have changed it or ignored it. So basically what we have here is Trump throwing away US diplomatic leverage and showing the rest of the world that we can't be trusted to honor our commitments in exchange for literally nothing. This guy has to be the worst dealmaker of all time. Not only is he getting rolled in negotiations by other world leaders, in this case he just rolled himself.

I'm almost positive that he had no clue how the Paris climate deal worked.

He isn't pandering to his base, he's one of them, that is, he is that stupid and misinformed.

And he's a sissy who sucks and takes Putin's golden showers.

I know some of you have trouble recognizing those tounge in cheek comments, lets put it another way, was obama responsible for every use of the "Thanks Obama" meme outthere?
Since you slice and dice your own irony right there I assume you allready understand the above and with this is just making noise, running interference.

Lol, says he was voted to represent Pittsburg not Paris. He lost Pittsburg in the election.

He's a moron. Pittsburgh's economy is now built on medicine, technology, and education. They are moving forward with the world while the dumbass in the WH is looking backwards.

Steve Bannon/Miller world of darkness speech. Somethings in the Paris accords should have been re-negotiated, but, ya know, we can't be seen collaborating with the globalists. #greatnegotiatormyass

Someone needs to remind him he was elected to represent America. All of it. Not just his fucking base.

It won't do you any good. His strategy is to simply appeal to his base, they think it's a winning strategy.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/01/politics/trump-base-steve-bannon-whiteboard/

That strategy is built on the idea that if you keep your base happy, you win. And it's not a bad one given that the last two re-election races of presidents -- Bush in 2004 and Obama in 2012 -- were, functionally, battles between the party bases each won by the incumbent.

Touting a nonexistent tax bill now.

I'm sure it'll be a humdinger. First cut benefits for working class people, then cut taxes for billionaires, convince his base that it'll all trickle down. You know, like it has since Reagan. Cuz MAGA. Cuz Freebumb.

He's stuck in a mental age of steam locomotives or something. If one planned for a more stupid energy source to revive it's coal. Then he goes on about India being allowed to mine coal and we aren't. No. The agreement is about carbon emissions. If we cut carbon emissions from one source we can increase them from another.

I'd say he's a dumb as a box of rocks but that would be an insult to stones.

It doesn't have jack shit to do with coal. It's dying on its own. It has to do with Big Oil & Gas. Alternative energy, pollution standards & higher efficiency threaten future sales. Can't have that.

What they want is for people who now use coal to switch to their product rather than anything else. Dunno about India, but public opinion in China is strongly in favor of cleaning up the poisonous air in some of their urban centers. The govt is committed to doing so, ebil soshulists that they are.

China is already well ahead of Paris accord targets and are closing something like 125 coal plants in the near term. Meanwhile Trump is trying to revive a war dead industry at the expense of the future. Winning!

This really is about leaving absolutely no legacy of Obama isn't it? I don't think he gives a shit about the accord. He just doesn't want there to be anything left that has Obama's name on it.
No, this is all corruption. Which is why we're never going to see Trump's tax returns and other financials without a Congressional subpoena.

I'm waiting for the movie version. The big con. Where a small time con man lands the presidency and goes for the biggest con job of his life.

I'm not sure how it ends though. Is it a comedy where the con man is in over his head and ultimately done in by his own incompetence.
Or is it a crime/drama where the con is helped by more players than anyone knew and the con man ends up winning the biggest haul of his life while he's embraced by a cult following as a hero?

Who knows. I do know this though, the truth will be crazier and more unbelievable than the movie version.

A contemporary Nero of sorts.

I'm beginning to think that the parents of Trump, no, not his familial ones but the ones that gave birth to his presidency, I think they should start proceedings to have him committed despite their love for him as their child, their creation. They need to face the reality that the child they gave birth to has inborn defects that has made him criminally insane.

As hard as it is for any parent to do such a thing, banishing him from society would be an act of mercy, especially to those of whom who have grievously suffered from his actions that can only be described as acts of involuntary criminal malfeasance of the highest order.

In his deranged efforts to please himself, he has committed crimes against society at large. But in his present state of mind, he knows not of which he is charged with, for his condition is also myopically narcissistic in nature. It has given him the ability to totally ignore reality, to create a universe around him that aligns with his disorder, and his parents, due to their devotion and love for their child, have decided to join in him in his own little obtuse niche of unreality.

As a result of their commitment to shield their child from himself, his parents are compelled to refuse to acknowledge that their progeny is a direct threat to society, has regularly committed blatant acts of anti-social behavior and, in the position of society that they have placed him, can and has already created widespread discord and confusion to the natural order of things so as to re-align reality with his disjointed view of the world.

If the glove fits they need to commit.
