NEW YORK, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Terry Jones, the Florida minister who caused an international stir by threatening to burn Korans, has visited the World Trade Center site for the first time.
Jones was in New York to announce a new organization, Stand Up America, the New York Post reported. He said Tuesday the group will provide information on "the dangers of radical Islam."
The pastor also complained that members of his church, Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, have disappeared. The church reportedly had about 50 members during the Koran flap.
"People come to church and want to hear, 'God loves you, you're a good person,'" he said, telling the Post his flock did not want to hear "the truth" about Islam.
Jones backed down on the Koran-burning, which was planned for Sept. 11, the ninth anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon. The proposal was widely condemned, with Gen. David Petraeus warning it would endanger U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and even opponents of the so-called Ground Zero mosque urging Jones to desist.

Another example why this country is so awesome!

Now lets be entertained by a different kind of flock :) Come on in my fellow Islamophobes.

The media and the government (by acknowledging him) gave this attention whore everything he wanted. He was a pastor of a 50 member congregation (tiny), now he is known all over the world. Others might get the same idea.

Bravo CNN, MSNBC, Fox... bravo

uh, what do you mean when you say "we"? Are you defining yourself as an American and excluding me? Because if so, you certainly are part of the Islamophobes.

anyways, the invitation was for "some" AT members who are unabashedly Islamophobic. hope this clarifies

The "We" is all inclusive. But thanks for the troll thread, anyhow. I'm sure it will be entertaining.

No - But I do think that certain muslim participants of this board just Looooove the opportunity to make up asinine accusations about people who said no such thing.

Hint... Hint...

I understand that you're trolling for a fight with your Islamophobes. I'm not one of them, so enjoy yourself.

Putting words in my mouth making a claim that I somehow think that no Americans are Islamophobes.

So: Not only do you make up asinine accusations, you then continue the Trolling by immediately turning around and claiming you don't understand the very thing you wrote just minutes before.

I am done dealing with you.

Wasn't he in danger of losing the church building through foreclosure before his Koran burning PR extravaganza? I wonder what happened with that, especially since his flock has apparently left.

Oh really? Two quotes originally posted by the OP,

"I hold my life quite valuable, and would not indulge in discussions with mad men."
"I will disregard any suggestion that puts me in direct conflict with these mad men. I value my life, and dont want to be a victim of a suicide bomb."

Damnit.

You really don't understand how this works do you? See, we had 51 nutballs in Florida and they were all hanging around each other and being their nutball selves. Since the rest were already nutballs they couldn't really "convert" anyone to their nutball side. Now we have 50 nutballs spread out amongst people and spreading their nutball views to other people. If they each turn 1 person into a nutball we will have an increase of 50 nutballs. If they all turn 1 person again we then have an increase of 100 nutballs for a total of 200 nutballs. See where this is going? A few more times and we are up to 800 freaking nutballs, a 1600% increase!!!

Leave the nutballs alone in their own nutty little worlds with their nutty little friends and pretend they are like the animals at the zoo. Look at them, point and laugh if you want but for petes sake don't feed them and don't fuck with them. Just leave them alone and let them do their nutty stuff with their nutty friends. This has an added benefit too, if they ever do anything really fucking nutty they are likely to only hurt other nutty people and not the rest of us.

Exactly! Not only that but now we have 50 nutballs spreading his "good word" out in the wild. Again, leave the nutballs the fuck alone and let them and their nutty friends be nutty together. Don't feed them and don't tease them, just leave them the hell alone and they will eventually go away. They could very well be on the verge of drinking some kool-aid that would help them meet the mothership or something by now but noooooo we had to go and feed them and now they are loose.
