I think this just about sums up what Ricing a car is all about, show is more important than GO! When I was a kid the saying was, if it doesn't go then chrome it!

I have no problems with imports that are legitimate hot rods, the problem is that most of them are not. The fart pipe and sticker crowd far outweighs the legitimate import hot rodder, and the above site is a prime example of what these nimrods are all about.

My friend sent me this link in an e-mail and I almost p!ssed myself. If anyone is confused as to the nature of the device advertised on this site it is a speaker system that makes a normally aspirated vehicle sound like it has a turbo!

If this isn't a joke, and I doubt that it is, then it should be.

Sad thing about the group that is making the rice import an advancing trend is that for the same amount they or their parents are buying these cars, and modding them... they could have bought a true american thoroughbred, done some restoration to it and come out of the gate not looking ridiculous.

But instead having a tercel rice or some other absurdity is cool. Oh well.

For me, I own a ls-400. Putting in nearly $5-10k worth of parts from www.swiftracing.com

1) 18 or 20" lexus rims + nitto tires
2) torque converter (still thinking bout these...dependent on the year of the car and I was hoping it was transferable)
3) intake
4) springs
5) tint
6) outragous wing
7) new black with a vent hood
8) convert the 4 door luxury seden to a 2door sports coupe
9) supercharger

I'm just joking from 6-8, but I want a super, but it seems to cost nearly $1k for every psi.

If I refer to a fat woman as weight challenged does she actually feel better about herself? I don't think so, and regardless, in the end she is still fat. I'm sorry if you are offended, but the term "Ricer" makes most people think about the exact type of people I was refering to in my original post so the term is more efficient than me trying to come up with some ridiculous PC alternative.

My girlfriend is from Singapore. Sometimes when she walks down the street she gets called nice remarks like 'ricebitch' or 'rice muncher' (not when i am there i might add).

Re: your comment on 'fat women' why do you need to refer to them as fat at all, sure you know it does nothing for their self esteem. Why not just refer to them as women?

If you look around the web you will see there are a lot of Asians that don't like this term at all.

 

If somone rices up their car and like they are not a$$holes about it, then *shrug*, whatever. To each their own. Mabey crack a few jokes between your friends.
Now if they act hardassed about it, and want to race at a stop light.
Then they deserve the ridicule and humiliation they receive.

That's insane.. you'd get shot saying that kind of schnit to somebody in Seattle..
