Another Quakecon is wrapped up. For those that didn't go, you're not cool. I saw a little story on the news covering the event, and it was about what I expected. Half of the gaming footage was some spiderman game on an xbox. I was there all 4 days and the only console I saw was 1 gamecube. They did at least show the BYOC, so I give them some credit.
Watching this, I was reminded of somebody once saying that after considering how poorly mainstream media covers the computer industry, you realize they probably suck equally in the rest of the news they provide. I try to avoid watching the local news anymore. Are my expectations too high? Can doctors and lawyers point out the same silliness like that contained in half the computer/technology stories of mainstream news?
