It's not that new. It came out last year in Thailand as Tom Yum Goong.

It's being dubbed (or subtitled?) and brought to the US. He's not that great in terms of acting, but his stunt and martial arts action is awesome.
 
I've seen the thai version. The story is uh... meh. The fighting and stunts are ok, Ong Bak was still better in those aspects though, even Ong Baks story was more.... bearable.
