Interesting. Ive read similar pieces many places and all say the same thing - oil must be traded in dollars for us to enjoy our standard of living. e.g. massive trade imbalances on goods and services we consume.

Interesting read, seems it all boils down to using military power to intimidate countries into using the dollar as the de-facto currency for trading. No wonder Rumsfeld was so concerned about China increasing it's military spending and not disclosing all the details to the West.

I think Ritter's recent words pretty much summarize the reason for wanting to attack/invade Iran: regime change
