The problem with Memory DIMM

Basically, I've upgraded my old machine(PII 266, used to have 64M) by adding two 128M memories (PC100).
After I sticked them in and re-start machine, I got the following message:

Warning: One or more DIMMS are out of rev.

However, it still able to boot and running applications well.

My questions are:

1. What does that warning message mean?
2. What should I do?

What kind of DIMMs are you using (Crucial, Kingston, Mushkin, etc.)?

What kind of computer are you using? If it's an OEM computer like Compaq, HP, Dell, that could be your answer. Back in the 1997 era of OEM building, companies used proprietary mobos, hd, RAM, etc. So if Windows correctly recognizes your RAM, it's all good--it's probably just a meaningless message.

Yeah, what does windows say? How much RAM does it recognize? And you say everyhing is running properly--I wouldn't worry about the message. For interest's sake, when is the message popping up? On POST??

1. Windows doesn't say anything, the RAM is rec. correctly.
I use task manager and it does show the correct RAM
2. Even if I click <CTRL><DEL><ENTER> for SYSTEM SETUP, it also shows correct RAM
3. The time was at before it said 'please press <CTRL><DEL><ENTER> for system setup'...
