The Prius C commercials are some of the dumbest 30 seconds of advertising I've seen

If you took all the Old Navy commercials, added them to the Heineken ones, and then squared them by the root of the Quizno's Spongemonkey commercials...maybe...just maybe you'd equal the IQ destroying disaster that is this advertising campaign.

Heh.

I was joking to my wife that if I was in charge I'd have something very simple.

I'd just have a black screen that flashed "53MPG".
Then another screen that flashed "$18,000"
Then another that said "Toyota Prius C" with a picture of it.
And then finally a fourth screen with the words "Beat that".

That's it.

My interest in the car was there long before these ads came out. But truth be told the advertising almost makes me want to consider it *less* now.

heh-heh...I drove a Toyota yesterday for the first time in my life.

Our Jetta is in the body shop, (I got rear-ended last week) and the Toyota is the rental.

I've ridden in ONE Toyota before that...nearly 40 years ago.

I DID go to the Toyota dealership 4 years ago, during the last "gas price spike," but wasn't impressed with the way any of them "fit" me. I have a tall torso, and a FUBAR'd back, and most of the Toyota's either had a low door opening that I couldn't get into, or were so short inside that I hit my head on the roof. I COULD fit fairly comfortably in the Matrix, but didn't really like the look of it...and it's definitely not made for a couple of old fat people.
I couldn't fit in the Prius at all.

I almost feel like they were trying to be uber-ironic, to attract hipsters while at the same time taking a dig at them.
