The price of Sandals *@#^#^$#hit!!

I went shopping for a new pair of Sandals this evening. The first two places I went they didn't have anything under $40, with the highest pair well over $100. For a G0d Damned pair of friggin' Sandals!!!. Forget that.... I went to Safeway and bought a pair for $12.99. Good enough for what I wear them for.

I thought you were talking about Sandals, and while I'd agree they're expensive, I wouldnt agree they're not worth it 😀 mmmallinclusiveallyoucandrinkandeatinparadise.

I wear a pair of discontinued Timberland sandals, costed me $30 online w/ their 50% off deal last year. Comfortable.... very.

I have never paid over $25 for sandals. I have had :

Gap leather @ $15
Adidas @ $20
Target @ $13
Reebok @ $15

My favorite sandals were my Reef sandals. The sole wasn't the quality of Tevas, but the ankle strap had a quick release that was far superior to the teva velcro system. They cost ~$25. I bought several pairs until they dropped the line and focused on flip flops only... 🙁

If you wear sandals a lot, it's worth it to get a good pair of Tevas (or whatever good brand you have in mind.) If you hardly ever wear them, get cheap ones.

The last pair of sandals I bought was early last year. I bought them for $6 and I'm still wearing them. Yeah the sole is falling apart a bit, but I'll either get glue or another pair 🙂 My last pair of sun glasses cost me $16 and a stranger actually complemented me on them the other day. I pity the fool who blows big money on clothes 🙂

Some bargains aren't a bargain. Six dollar sandals are great if you plan to wear them twice. If you live in California and wear them exclusively six months of the year, they aren't a bargain if you have to replace them every two weeks. Seventy dollar sandals that last two or three years are a great deal in that case.

Except when going to work I wear these six buckers EVERYWHERE. I use them every day on the weekend and any time I go somewhere in the evening. I'm telling you they have withstood my walking on them pretty damn well for six buckers! This is alabama remember, so I use them more months out of the year than not 😉

My Nike ACG3s r0x0r...sooo comfy with those aerated synthetic materials...well worth the $75 I spent on them.

If you're ok with them looking like crap, then you've got yourself a bargain, mister. 🙂

Buy cheap sandals if you want, but almost more than likely they're not going to be comfortable for you. I bought a cheap pair of sandals once for the beach (thinking i would only wear them that one time, and didn't want to get my good pairs ruined), and after 4 hours my feet hurt so much i couldnt' wear them any longer. I didn't even bother taking them home.

I am. They're embarassing if I cared 🙂 Well, they actually look fairly new, since they are, except for the sole part coming up (well, not the sole, but the layer just beneath the feet where they connect with the sandal).

Heh, I was thinking the same thing. I blamed it on too much honeymoon planning lately. What's your excuse? 😉

I'm still wearing the same Ray-Ban sunglasses I purchased in the late 80's.
