WOW. pretty intense.

so, the cops shoot and arrest this kid for shooting a cop. his friend calls in the lawyers, they come in to try and help this kid, but the cops won't let the lawyers in the room, it's 2 am, they can't get anyone to help them. eventually the kid confesses that his FRIEND shot the cop. the cops then arrest the friend.

NOW, the friend is in jail and they are threatening to arraign him unless he TURNS on the first kid.

Twisted, so they TORTURED the first kid to get a confession WHICH they USED to blackmail the friend into turning on the first kid.

WOW, does that sound legal to anyone??

This is tonight's Practice...different from the OP's topic.

I'm really liking James Spader - love that arrogant, obnoxious attitude, only when directed towards somebody else, of course. I missed quite a few of the this season's episodes - how did the firm recruit Alan Shore and that new foreign brunette chick, played by Rhona Mitra? What's her relationship with Alan Shore?

The Practice is simply awesome - much more intelligent than most of the crap on TV. Any recommendations for similar legal thrillers?

Could you answer some of the questions above? The ones about how Alan Shore got recruited and the relationship between him and that chick?

I read the first post and was thinking: "that's not what happened tonight." Then I saw the date.

Spader's character is pretty interesting, but I'm starting to think that he's pushing it a little.

On a side note, Norah Jones' video for Sunrise is pretty painful to watch.

(Tonight's episode).

"Eugene, is it sexual?" Bwahahahaha.

Too bad Alan's getting fired, and that brunette chick. Is this another case of the show not being able to afford actors and having to fire them? It sucks that Bobby and his TV wife had to go..now Alan too :(

Edit: Finished watching the episode...looks like Alan isn't going anywhere anytime soon :D

"Finished watching the episode...looks like Alan isn't going anywhere anytime soon"

Of course not, he is pretty much the main character :)

I did hear that The Practice will be cancelled after this season though :( There may be a spin off series started, like with Alan Shore as the main character.

The Practice is the only television show I go out of my way to watch. This season has been great with Spader's character in the mix.

Did anyone catch last nights (3/21) episode? Man, what a good one. I cant wait to see how it all plays out. I, too, have to agree that James Spader is one bad a$$ mofo and is a great replacement for McDermitt (sp?).

how did the firm recruit Alan Shore and that new foreign brunette chick, played by Rhona Mitra?

Alan Spader was brought in by Ellenor Frutt, he's a personal friend of hers. He got fired for some illegal stuff at another firm and was looking for a job and she brought him in. As for that other chick... i have no idea, she just appeared.
