The power of the letter L

I recently saw a link to a picture of a bumper sticker stating that the letter L is dangerous because it can be turned 90 degrees to appear to be a pistol. I hope there is a brave kindergartener out there somewhere that is willing to write the letter L on a piece of paper and hold it proudly over his or her head while in class. While it would likely close the school down, I think it may finally spark a push back on some of these crazy zero tolerance policies that tend to filter up to areas outside of school.

It seems like we've really gone off the deep end with this stuff. I mean, really, pointing your finger is somehow a real threat to the school? We need some sanity back in schools, but I think we're heading further down the rabbit hole if anything.
