it's funny to see the training and demonstration of martial arts styles but when they actually fight, it's like that all goes out the window...

the only time you see fighting that looks anything like what you see in the training and demonstrations is in movies, which is fake.

yeah pontifex it looks cool as hell but the most effective styles look nothing like that. They're very straight, no looping moves etc. Of course that's if it's a standing fight, when things hit the ground it's a different world.
